Youth 4 SURVELLIANCE Research Project

Youth 4 SURVELLIANCE is a new tracking system for homeless youth in grammar schools within the Chicago Public Schools, high schools within the Chicago Public Schools, and even colleges particularly City Colleges of Chicago that do not have residence halls on campus; along with for profit schools that do not have residence halls located on their ground campus locations.  According to the Chicago Public Schools Report Card in 2015, 25% of students attending Mccutcheon Elementary in Uptown have experienced some levels of homelessness.  Currently, the Federal Task Force on Homelessness and the State of Illinois have updated their definition about homeless youth in the city of Chicago.
